8 August 2024 – Weststar Aviation gathered to bid a heartfelt farewell to Capt. Banta Abdullah, our esteemed Flight Operations General Manager. With a history of commitment and achievement that has shaped the core of our flight operations, Capt. Banta’s retirement signifies the end for our organization.
Capt Banta’s journey with Weststar began 14 years ago, and his impact on our organization has been nothing short of transformative. His career with us started as the Base Manager at our Kerteh Base, where his leadership and commitment were instrumental in establishing a high standard of operational efficiency and safety. Capt. Banta’s ability to manage complex operations with having an excellent vision for detail and an unwavering dedication to excellence quickly set him apart as a key player in our team.
Capt. Banta moved to our headquarters in 2016 and filled the position of General Manager of Flight Operations. He has played a significant role in developing and enhancing our flight operations here, leading important advancements that have aided in the expansion and success of our business. In addition to optimizing our processes, his strategic vision and relentless dedication have also helped to create a culture of efficiency and safety inside our team. It became clear as we gathered to thank how much Capt. Banta has impacted the lives of everyone around him. Heartfelt tributes, happy memories, and best wishes for his future ambitions were all present at the farewell gathering. Capt. Banta is embarking on an exciting new trip, but his departure also signifies the end of a key chapter for Weststar.
