APACE 2026: Weststar Aviation Shares Perspectives on Building Resilient Airports

Weststar Aviation Services was represented at APACE 2026 through the participation of Ahmad Rashide bin Mustapah, Head of Business Development & General Manager of Fleet, who joined industry leaders in Forum Discussion 3: “Resilient Airports: Preparing for Future Shocks.”

The forum brought together key voices from across the aviation and technology sectors to examine how airports can remain agile, secure and passenger-centric amid growing global uncertainties. Discussions centred on the need for stronger operational resilience as the industry navigates challenges such as pandemics, climate change impacts and rising cyber threats.

During the session, Ahmad Rashide shared perspectives grounded in Weststar Aviation’s operational experience, highlighting the importance of integrated planning, collaboration between operators and technology partners, and readiness across both airside and landside operations. His contributions underscored the role aviation service providers play in supporting airport resilience—not only through operational excellence, but also through adaptability and forward-looking risk management.

The panel also featured insights from Eric Liu of TwinMatrix Technologies, with the discussion moderated under the APACE 2026 platform, which continues to serve as a key regional forum for aviation stakeholders.

APACE 2026 convenes policymakers, airport operators and technology partners to collectively rethink how aviation hubs can build smarter, more connected infrastructure while safeguarding passengers and operations against future disruptions.
