Since joining Weststar GAP Aviation in May 2025, João Octavio dos Reis Costa has played an essential role in strengthening the company’s operations in Timor Leste. Over the months, he has become a dependable figure within the team, contributing to smoother workflows, clearer communication, and enhanced coordination across departments.
João began his journey at Weststar with a strong foundation in administrative and contract management. Today, he serves as a Contract Officer, where he oversees department finances, manages contract-related tasks, and ensures that interdepartmental operations run efficiently. His attention to detail and commitment to professionalism reflect Weststar’s high standards in every aspect of its work.
One of the defining moments in João’s career was his participation in the Aviation Security Awareness Training (AVSEC). The training broadened his perspective on aviation safety and enriched his understanding of regulatory and operational requirements. For João, it was more than just a course—it was an experience that deepened his confidence and strengthened his resolve to contribute meaningfully to the organisation.
